Highpurity tungsten is a steelgray to silverwhite metal valued for its exceptional melting point, high density, and excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. It is widely used across the electrical, medical, automotive, and other advanced manufacturing industries.
In semiconductor technology, highpurity tungsten and its silicides play a critical role in ultralargescale integrated (ULSI) circuits. They serve as resistance layers, diffusion barriers, and gate and interconnect materials in metaloxidesemiconductor (MOS) transistors, where stability and reliability at high temperatures are essential.
Highpurity Tungsten is also used to produce Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) crucibles, plates, disks, boats, rods, and other components for MBE equipment. These highperformance parts support semiconductor device research and fabrication, where exceptional material purity, extreme thermal stability, and strong corrosion resistance are essential.
Highpurity tungsten is also used to produce sputtering targets—such as tungsten, tungstentitanium (WTi), and tungstensilicon (WSi) targets—and to manufacture evaporation materials for thinfilm deposition in semiconductor fabrication.
