Germanium Oxide appears in white powder or colorless crystals with its chemical formula name as GeO2. It is also named as Germanium Dioxide; Germanium(IV) Oxide ;Germanic Acid; Germania; Germanicacid; Dioxogermane; germanic oxide; Germanium dioxide.
GeO2 is used as a feedstock for production of some phosphors and semiconductor materials. It is also used as a catalyst in production of polyethylene terephthalate resin (PET), and for production of other germanium compounds.
